OUR PROJECTS

Project 1.
SCHOOL EXPANSION
Due to the increase in student population to 500 students prior to the Ebola outbreak, Browne Academy had decided to construct a larger building with 10 classrooms to create a suiltable, safe, and pleasent learning environment for the students. To carry out this worthy cause $40,000 USD is needed.

Project 2. Medical Clinic
Browne Community Clinic was established by Rev. Josephus P. Browne and his wife Mother Balleh P. Browne on February 1, 2011, with the purpose of treating children and their mothers who can not afford to pay their hospital bills and are dying unnecessarily from treatable illnesses like malaria, fever, and etc.

Project 3.
GIRL INSTITUTE
Historically Liberia has discouraged women from seeking education since many leaders believed that wonem were to stay solely in the home and care for the children. However, today the culture is beginning to embrace the idea that women should be educated and can contribute in any area of our society. Our currect President Ellen Sirleaf Johnson is a product of the Liberian and American educational systems. Unfortunately uneducated women of our society often turn to the streets to provide for themselves. To prevent this desperation we have a goal to establish a high school solely for girls between the ages of 14-18 who have no other source or means to be educated. We currently have acquired the necessary land for the school but lack the finances needed to establish the school.
Project 4.
ORPHANAGE
Who will care for the orphans? Why should they be abandoned and homeless? Were they responsible for the death of their parents? With these questions in mind we have decided to build an orphanage to care for these children. Presently there are 10 children attending Browne Academy. Five of these children live in Pastor Josephus' own home. The other five live with two other families with funding for their food coming from the ministry. Many other children have no homes and we are seeking $50,000 to build an orphanage.
Project 5.
FEEDING PROGRAM
Adequate nurtrition is essential to the health of any chilid. While the students are on campus we must feed them so they can concentrate on their studies and not their hunger. Our yearly budget for food, cooking utensils, and the cook's salary is $6,500 USD. Please contact us to help support the feeding program
